Australian Government Ministers announced the new program to restore the health of Australia's environment and build on improved land management practices. The Caring for our Country program will deliver funding to local communities through a simple, one-stop shop covering the Natural Heritage Trust and the National Landcare Programme, Environmental Stewardship and Working on Country Programs. The Macadamia Soil Health Card is a new technique for farmers to use in assessing the biological and physical properties of soil on their farms. The card was developed by local macadamia farmers through a series of workshops held at Wollongbar TAFE.
