Upper Marom Creek Landcare
We are a group of neighbours who have recently purchased properties bordering Marom Creek and we are interested in regenerating the riparian areas and remnants alongside. Our objective is to rehabilitate the riparian areas of the upper reaches of Marom Creek, including the wetlands, lagoon and adjacent rainforest remnants. Upper Marom Creek Landcare Project
Our dream is to bring life back to the creek, remove the weeds and camphor laurel trees. We'll be working on restoring the channel, pond and repairing the banks. After the work has been done we will replant the area with suitable native plants to sustain the banks, and hold back the silt run off from the nut trees to the west. We'll fence the area and put in water troughs for the cattle.Below are photos of the project area (Aug 07).
