About the event
Dolphin Research Australia is bringing together Landcare and Coastcare teams, community organisations, local groups and citizen scientists to tackle marine debris and build a clearer picture of the litter impacting our beaches, waterways and marine habitats. Running from August to October, this series links clean ups and marine debris surveys from Fingal Head to Ballina, creating a regional snapshot of the types of litter found across the Byron–Tweed Hope Spot.
Marine debris is one of the biggest threats to our beaches, rivers, nearshore habitats and wildlife. By working together across the region, we’re building a community powered response that strengthens stewardship, supports long term behaviour change and helps protect the incredible biodiversity of our Hope Spot — and beyond.
