About the event
This Nature-based Solutions site, on the bank of Terania Creek, is ready for planting with 1470 trees and sedges. The site is quite flat, with cliffs opposite - which forces flood-waters across the flat. By planting trees and sedges here, we aim to calm flood-waters, slowing the flow, allowing sediment to drop, so that flood-waters can move downstream slower and cleaner.
We invite you to come along and be a part of this planting, and Richmond Landcares' Nature Based Solutions Project.
We'll have professional bush regenerators there, sharing their skills, knowledge and expertise.
Morning tea and lunch will be provided.
Registrations essential for catering purposes.
